Does natural soap bubble?
Yes, the oils that make the most bubbles are coconut and castor oils. Some soaps have high levels of olive oil and will lather instead of bubble, these soaps are very moisturzing.
Is there any lye left in the soap?
No, all the lye is gone from the soap in 24 to 48 hours after making it. The soap is "cured" for 4 to 6 weeks before selling. This is not because of the lye, but so that the soap can dry out and become hard. Hard soap lasts longer than soft soap. The longer the soap "cures", the better the soap is.
You use goat milk in your soap?
Yes, some of my soaps have fresh goat milk in them. Instead of using water, I sometimes use fresh goat milk. When I say fresh, I mean I have milked the goats, filtered the milk, pasteurizied the milk and placed it in bags in the freezer until I'm ready to use it. Milk is very good for your skin.
Do you ever use animal fats in your soaps?
No, I only use the best oils like extra light olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, sunflower, safflower, soybean, palm, avacado, apricot kernel, jojoba and sweet almond oils.
What is "Hot Process" soap?
Hot process soap is made the same way as cold process soap but you cook the soap in the oven instead of letting it air cure. When you cook the soap, you are taking all the lye and extra water out of the soap right away. This means that the soap can be used within days instead of weeks.
